Honey is a sweet spread that can be used for many different things, honey comes from worker bees and usually live in colonies of usually 20 000 to 60 000 bees.
Bees move from flower to flower collecting nectar until their honey stomachs ,which are different from their food stomachs, are full. Once they arrive at their hive they pass the nectar through their mouths to the other worker bees who then chew it for about half an hour, this process is continued until the nectar turns into Honey. When the honey is done they store it in honeycomb shells which are like tiny jars, however if the honey is still wet the bees fan it off with their wings and then seal it with a wax lid to keep it clean.
A queen bee can lay up to 2,000 eggs a day which can cause the hive to became a bit congested. If the Queen bee feels like the hive is too busy she leaves with half of the worker bees and they go form another hive somewhere else and continue with their jobs while the other half that stayed in the old hive gets a new queen and continues with their life.
In conclusion bees have a very important job in the world and work really hard.
